DESCRIPTION

Provides professional, courteous service to all guests in the Bull Durham Bar. Maintains cleanliness and sanitation of lounge areas. Assists in maintenance of the Snack Cart as appropriate.

DUTIES

DUTIES: 1. Daily completes opening and closing checklist duties.2. Provides efficient, timely service consistent with established standards of courtesy and professionalism.3. Maintains thorough knowledge of relevant NCR procedures as instructed by managers. Consistent use of POSI with minimum of errors. Consistent adherence to guest check procedures as instructed.4. Maintains relevant knowledge of alcoholic beverages ncluding drinks and liquor brand designations (house, call, premium, cordial, specialty, etc.), types of specialty drinks, domestic versus import beers,appropriate glassware and garnishes, etc.5. Consistent adherence to tip out and accounting procedures as instructed.6. Maintains a professional, courteous and respectful attitude toward co-workers, managers, and guests.7. Adheres to schedule as written by management.8. Adheres to established uniform standards.9. Adheres to rules of conduct and policies of alcohol awareness as instructed.10. Adheres to all other policies and procedures as stated by management.11. Supports and participation in the hotel-recycling 12. Other duties as assigned by the Restaurant Manager.

QUALIFICATIONS

PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Lifting 30 pounds maximum with frequent bending, lifting and/or carrying of objects weighing up to 15 pounds. Requires walking or standing to a significant degree.MATH SKILLS: Requires mathematical development sufficient to be able to: Add, subtract, divide and multiply.LANGUAGE SKILLS: Must have developed English language skills to the point to be able to:Communicate effectively with other employees, guests or vendors as needed. Must be able to read and comprehend written information.RELATIONSHIPS TO DATA, PEOPLE AND THINGS:DATA: Coordination: Determination of time, place, and sequence of operations or actions to be taken on the basis of analysis of data, as well as executing determination and/or reporting on events.PEOPLE: Determining or interpreting work procedures while maintaining harmonious relations and promoting efficiency. A variety of responsibilities is involved in this function.THINGS: Handling: Using body members, hand tools, and/or special devices to work, move, or carry objects or materials. Involves little or no latitude for judgment with regard to attainment of standards or in selecting appropriate tool, object or material.TO DO THIS JOB, YOU MUST HAVE THE FOLLOWING LICENSES OR CERTIFICATES BEFORE BEING HIRED:High school diploma or equivalent preferred.TO DO THIS JOB, YOU MUST HAVE THE FOLLOWING AMOUNT OF TOTAL EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:Minimum 1 year experience as a cocktail server preferred. NOTE: This hotel operates seven days a week, twenty-four hours a day. I am aware that at times it will be necessary to move me from my accustomed shift if business demands. I also understand that business determines the amount of hours I work. Management retains the discretion to add or change the duties of this position at any time. DUTIES: 1.
