Responsible to the Director of the Paul Robeson Cultural Center (PRCC) for providing program coordination; outreach and promotion; advising and community-building; research and assessment; and facilities management to a diverse body of students at the University Park Campus. The primary responsibilities are to oversee the administrative planning of PRCC programs, such as maintaining clear communication with guest speakers and performers, coordinating contractual and financial paperwork, and arranging necessary accommodation arrangements. Facilitate the logistical planning of PRCC programs, such as making equipment and facilities reservations, establishing and confirming room set-up, and placing applicable general supply and catering orders. Conduct outreach to students, student organizations, faculty, staff, alumni, and community members in order to foster positive relationships and opportunities for program collaboration. The Program Coordinator will also be responsible for creating and maintaining avenues for the promotion and marketing of PRCC programs, such as printed materials (posters, flyers, newspaper ads, newsletters, etc.) and online platforms (Facebook, Twitter, PRCC website, etc); and provide support to student organizations with office space in the PRCC by offering guidance on programming and organizational structure/leadership, as well as promoting efforts for collaboration and community-building. The position requires weekday supervisor of night operations of the PRCC. Typically requires a Master's degree or higher plus one year of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. The Program Coordinator must possess a strong work ethic and be a dedicated team player. The Program Coordinator must also possess good interpersonal and written communication skills as well as a demonstrated ability to work with students of color, and be grounded in both racial and personal development theory. This position may require that you operate a motor vehicle as part of your job duties. A valid driver’s license and successful completion of a motor vehicle records check will be required in addition to standard background checks.
