The Coding Compliance Coordinator position is responsible for providing the medical record documentation, coding reviews and education to SLMG employed physicians and other individuals responsible for coding physician services for physicians. Includes medical record reviews, reporting of findings and reviewing the results with applicable individuals. Demonstrates intermediate to advanced knowledge and experience of coding a variety of physician specialties, such as surgery, obstetrics, psychiatry, and primary care. This individual will serve as a leader and subject matter expert for SLMG. Activities will include review of physician coding, one-on-one education with physicians, coding trend analysis and recommendations to improve coding compliance and documentation. This individual ensures regulations related to HIPPA, CLIA, OSHA, CMS, NCQA and other regulatory agencies are upheld within Saint Luke's Medical Group. Requirements include the individual must have one of the following certifications:

Certified Professional Coder (CPC)

Certified Coding Specialist (CCP)

Registered Health Information Technologist (RHIT)

Registered Health Information Administrator (RHIA)

LPN or RN preferred
