We are searching for a number of CF developers - we currently have a need in the Rockville area for someone with CF Server experience as well as a CMS (preferrably CommonSpot). This position will be a W-2 position with AboutWeb, working onsite with a team of developers at our client, a federal agency in Montgomery County.
We also have a number of CF developer roles with a client in DC near Union Station. This federal agency needs a Cold Fusion SoftwareArchitect (and several developers/senior developers) to assist with a migration from FoxPro to CF9. This position is in NW DC and is in a client-facing role. The contract has 4 years left on it, and this person will serve as the lead CF architect once the migration is complete. The team will consist of 4 to 5 developers, and the Architect will be in place and help assemble the team.
Functional Responsibility includes:
. Serves as a subject matter technical expert in Coldfusion, FoxPro and Networks architecture.
. Provides guidance to the technical staff on the functional procedures/processes/policies reflecting detailed knowledge of functional areas.
. Interfaces with Government management personnel and functional proponents.
. Reports in writing and orally to Contractor management and Government representatives, including the Government CO and COR.
. Document work as needed
A Senior IT Professional in Application/Software/Web Development with a "skunkworks" mentality and a demonstrated a passion for technology. When pointed towards a new technology, this person would seize the initiative, and with minimal oversight, figure out how to use it, apply it, and become an advocate.
