A. Develops and implements Allied health programs in Diagnostic Medical Solography, Medical Coding and Billing and Radiology Technician including creating course and establishment of clinical sites and obtaining appropriate accreditation
B. After establishment of program, teaches classes with the following credit assignments with changes at the Dean’s discretion;
a. Fall & Spring Semesters: twenty-one (21) credits
b. Summer Sessions: six (6) credits in the summer terms

C. Holds seven (7) office hours per week in the fall and spring semesters and three (3) per week in summer sessions
D. Advises students
E. Covers for other instructors for short term unexpected absences, if own teaching assignment allows
F. Participates in student engagement through;
a. The use of individual and group student discussion meetings
b. Regularly scheduled student tutoring and advising sessions
c. Student community service opportunities and learning through development, recruitment, supervision of students involved in service learning and community service opportunities
G. Partners with Dean of Adjuncts to support the adjunct community with emphasis on conducting classroom observations, teaching evaluations, mentorship and recruitment of adjunct faculty
H. Performs classroom observations and teaching effectiveness evaluations of adjunct faculty
I. After two (2) years of service, performs classroom observations and teaching effectiveness evaluations of full time tenured and non-tenured faculty members, this time frame may be reduced if appropriate prior experience is demonstrated
J. Drafts of reports under the direction of the School Dean
K. Maintains appropriate competency in contemporary computer technology
L. Performs other professional duties as directed (M.E.)

Salary Range:
$52,000 to $75,000 per year

Required Qualifications:
A. Master’s degree in Nursing or related Allied Health field with licensure and/or certification in specialty area
B. Two years teaching college level courses
C. Teaching experience to include teaching allied health courses with a clinical component
D. Ability to pass physical exam and document immunizations as required by clinical sites
E. Demonstrated knowledge of modern technology and its use in the classroom
F. Strong interpersonal and communication skills
G. Demonstrated ability to provide diverse teaching methods and learning styles
H. Demonstrated excellence in teaching and the ability to teach students from diverse academic, socioeconomic, cultural, and ethnic backgrounds
I. Knowledge and/or experience in allied health

Preferred Qualifications:
A. Teaching at a community college
B. One year experience evaluating teaching effectiveness
C. One year experience conducting classroom observations
D. Familiarity with allied health
E. One year experience developing and revising nursing curricula
F. Knowledge and/or experience in allied health

Hours of Work:
