The Department of Economics of the College of Business and Economics at Radford University invites applicants for a full-time tenure track position at the rank of Assistant Professor in Economics beginning in August, 2013.
Primary responsibilities include teaching undergraduate principles courses and applied courses in the applicant’s specialization. Preference would be given to those applicants with quantitative or analytical skills, those with and an interest in technological change (innovation and invention), or those with and interest in economic history. Applicants should have a Ph.D. in Economics or be completing the degree requirements before August 2013. For those satisfying the research requirement, the teaching load is three courses per semester. Commitment to superior teaching is required. The College of Business and Economics is AACSB accredited; applicants should be able to demonstrate that they are academically qualified (based on their research and doctorate degree).
Applicants for the positions must provide a letter of application, current curriculum vitae, transcripts (unofficial accepted at this stage), evidence of teaching, and evidence of scholarly research. Applicants selected for further review may be asked for additional material, e.g. teaching philosophy and three letters of recommendation.
