Selected candidate will be responsible for the management of non-performing commercial loans to include C&I, CRE, and MF.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Manage a portfolio of non-performing loans to include C&I, CRE, and MF to maximize resolution and minimize loss.
Negotiate workout terms for default resolution.
Negotiate and prepare various resolutions, such as: Term Maturity Extensions, Forbearance Plans, DPOs, and Loan Sales etc.
Review and recommend approval of transactions on service for other portfolio to include maturity extensions, forbearance, and workouts.
Monitor loans for monetary, covenant and tax defaults.
Monitor insurance coverage, and confirm that appropriate coverage is being maintained by the borrower or through Forced Place coverage.
Collection of Annual Financial Statements and maintain records for gathering of same for underwriting and other departments as needed.
Review analysis provided by underwriting to determine best course of action. This review will entail: certifying financial status of borrower, debt to income ratios and value of assets.
Provide required reports and updates to SFO clients as required.
Review and recommend risk rating changes.
Monitor legal process which includes, FCL, BK, Replevin and Deficiency.
Handle borrower, bank, and internal requests in a timely manner.
Special projects as assigned or requested by the appropriate supervisor.
Ability to work effectively across internal organizational levels and with outside counsel.
Experience with Microsoft Excel, Access, Word, and Business Objects
Demonstrated strong oral and written communication skills.
Must have full knowledge of underwriting, (or the ability to learn the required skills within a designated time frame) of commercial loans in a bank lending environment and ability to do complete asset summaries for external clients.
Bi-lingual (Spanish Fluency).
3 years of experience in the banking industry.
1 year of experience in commercial asset management.
Bachelor's degree (a business orientation is a plus) and/or equivalent work experience.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Strong organization skills and attention-to-detail.
A background/experience working with legal documents – promissory notes, mortgages, loan agreement in Spanish is strongly preferred.
