Commercial Credit Analyst 4
Due to significant portfolio expansion and future growth plans, Commercial Banking has an opportunity for an experienced commercial analyst/relationship manager for its regional Centralized Underwriting team located in San Francisco, CA/Phoenix, AZ. The selected applicant will directly participate in providing high quality underwriting and credit approval services in support of Regional Commercial Banking Offices (RCBO's) throughout the Commercial Bank. Commercial Underwriting currently manages about 2,000 relationships with direct and operating exposure of up to $20 million; total credit exposure under management exceeds $3 billion.
Responsible for analyzing complex companies and industries and conducting presentations on findings to senior management. Functions include: conducting complex credit investigations and analyzing diverse credit information for loans; analyzing/formalizing documentation of loan transactions and/or credit history of customers; assisting in preparation of credit reports for presentation to lending officers and/or approval committees; performing research/analysis related to projects such as industry studies and management reports.
7+ years credit analysis experience.
7+ years of experience in commercial banking to include credit analysis. Strong interpersonal skills. Proven ability to develop, negotiate, document and service loan structures. Demonstrated ability to perform thorough analysis of the varying types of risk. Excellent communication skills. Working knowledge of operating risk (i.e. TRE, Overdraft, and Foreign Exchange) and financial statement spreading programs (i.e. MRA). Working knowledge of bank and group credit policies and credit grading systems.
An undergraduate degree in business administration or finance, or equivalent work experience. Completion of the Wholesale Bank's Credit Management Training Program or equivalent work experience analyzing a diverse portfolio of commercial banking customers. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Able to develop relationships and consult with RCBO Relationship Managers/Loan Team Managers in order to recommend appropriate credit structures in accordance with Bank and Group policies. A strong customer-centric focus capable of balancing credit quality standards with customer satisfaction. Excellent time management skills and capable of prioritizing workflow with limited supervision.
