Commercial Risk Analyst



Plano, TX

Position Description:
Ally Financial's Risk function manages and analyzes Ally’s exposure to internal and external risk factors. The function strives to achieve an appropriate balance between risk and return, to limit unnecessary risk, and to protect the company’s financial returns.

Responsibilities may include completing required due diligence/financial analysis on comprehensive and administrative reviews associated with the renewal of existing credit lines, as well as for loan approvals and new wholesale acquisitions. Due diligence includes the accurate reporting of findings, via established reporting functions and ensuring corporate compliance and risk management. Involves in-depth analysis, contact with key dealership personnel, in addition to communication the internal and external stakeholders. Provides recommendations and supporting documentation to improve company performance and mitigate exposure. Supports department training.

Principal Accountabilities:
·

Conducting financial analysis on dealership wholesale accounts from data obtained from both internal and external sources.

Producing formalized management reporting and analysis for post review

·

Completing administrative review to document company compliance and guidelines are met

·

Dealership and stakeholder interfacing to obtain all information required

·

Updating company records, logs, reports, and internal control systems with information gathered during the underwriting review

·

Internal leveraging of information between other areas of expertise

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements:
·

Undergraduate degree or equivalent training, Graduate degree preferred, but not required

·

Understanding of dealership and wholesale administration a plus

·

Strong financial analysis and analytic/problem solving skills required

·

Proficient in intermediate MS applications (Word, Excel, Access and PowerPoint)

·

High level of written and oral communication skills as well as attention to detail

·

Strong organizational skills and time management abilities

·

Ability to adapt to change quickly
