Capco, a Consulting Magazine “Best Firms to Work For” 2012, is rapidly expanding our footprint in North America and are looking for Commercial Lending Consultants. Hires will be a key to the growth and development of the Banking Domain and our overall capabilities in the marketplace.

Summary of the Role

We are seeking experienced consultants to join our Commercial Lending team; specifically, we are seeking individuals who are proficient with commercial lending environment, end-to-end processes from prospecting/origination through fulfilment and servicing. Knowledge of commercial lending systems and experience with implementing commercial lending systems, preferably with CapitalStream, is highly desirable. Successful candidates will demonstrate strong project management experience in developing commercial lending target operating models, re-engineering processes, data management, analytics & reporting, and vendor solutions.

Key Responsibilities:
Manage and assist project teams in commercial lending engagements covering both strategy and implementation. Provide superior delivery on client engagements.

Work with clients and stakeholders to develop commercial lending business and technical requirements across business processes, data, analytics, reporting, applications, and platforms.

Develop collateral and intellectual property (e.g., message decks, whitepapers, proposals, etc.) to help the firm with business development as well as to train junior staff

Manage client interaction and cultivate client for extensions and expansions of Capco’s footprint.

Gain knowledge of vendor products and develop vendor relationships.

Assist in the business development activities of the firm, which may include writing proposals, building message decks, conducting research, writing whitepapers, and conducting meetings and or workshops with client stakeholders.

Requirements:
Basic Requirements:
Bachelor's Degree is required plus 5 years’ experience or Master's Degree plus 2 years of experience

Minimum

Ability to travel extensively (up to 100%) to client sites around the U.S. is required

Strong experience (at least 5 years) covering both consulting and industry roles is required

Domain Knowledge and Experience Requirements:
Knowledge of industry “best practices” and demonstrated thought leadership on significant financial services industry issues

Strong understanding with many of the following subject areas and expertise in several:

Commercial Lending:
Commercial loan lifecycle from loan origination through credit approval and loan servicing

Ability to describe a typical organizational and technology operating model of a commercial lender

Understanding of commercial credit products including: Term Loans, Revolvers, Asset Based Loans, Commercial Mortgage, etc.

Understanding of typical loan covenants for commercial credits

Understanding of loan syndications business including duties of Lead Agent bank in a syndicated transaction

Experience with front-end sales/prospecting origination, underwriting portions.

Strong understanding of how loans can be packaged and securitized

The following skill sets are highly desirable:
Understanding of secondary loan trading market

Experience implementing any of the following loan systems is highly desirable: ACBS, AFS, LoanIQ, Wall Street Office, Backshop, McCracken Strategy, Midland Enterprise, CapitalStream, Third Pillar, CreditPath

Demonstrated track record managing clients, multiple stakeholders with competing agendas, with the ability to articulate/communicate in a convincing manner.

Understanding of commercial credit products including: Term Loans, Revolvers, Asset Based Loans, Commercial Mortgage, etc.

Understanding of how loans can be packaged and securitized

Consulting Skills & Experience:
Solid commercial lending business analyst skills, including experience interviewing client executives to gather and document business requirements, process mapping, etc.

Strong experience documenting technology requirements for commercial lending

Strong presentation skills, extensive experience writing successful project proposals, experience planning and execution related projects, and demonstrated project management skills and experience

Solid knowledge of process reengineering methodologies and process flowcharting

Ability to plan, implement and lead strategy work

Ability to conceptualize and bring to fruition consulting solutions and services that address critical client needs and industry issues

Excellent time management and organizational skills; the ability to manage conflicting priorities and multi-task effectively; and communicate current status and tasks to management

Demonstrated ability to lead and manage large, diverse teams

Exceptional verbal and written communication skills and attention to detail

Proficient in Microsoft Office suite applications, including PowerPoint, Excel, and Visio

Research skills; demonstrated ability to uncover relevant regulatory guidance and academic literature.

Ability to quickly learn new subjects and absorb new information and methodologies in a rapidly changing regulatory environment

Strong problem solving skills; ability to determine proper course or methodology without direction or supervision
