DESCRIPTION

The ideal candidate is responsible for assisting customers and applicants by explaining Bank products and services and providing account information. Assists commercial relationship bankers with day-to-day servicing functions.

DUTIES

Examines client files and commercial relationships to analyze and identify needs. Refers additional product and service opportunities to relationship banker as appropriate. May contact clients to promote products and services, cross-sell, and expand relationship.
Actively fosters client relations and retention.
Stays informed regarding all banking products and services.
Assists relationship bankers with activities such as advances, transfers, and opening of commercial deposit accounts.
Prepares commitment letters and term sheets.
Compiles loan application file and ensures all underwriting documentation is complete for submission to loan document preparation department. Works closely with document processor to coordinate closing dates, documents, and disbursement of loan proceeds.
Verifies entity name, principals, and authorized signers; and ensures good standing with the Secretary of State. Verifies entity ownership prior to submitting request for closing documents.
Communicates and interacts with loan customers on behalf of relationship bankers to collect past dues, work future maturities, and obtain financials needed to expedite closings, renewals, extensions, etc. Manages borrowing base certificates and draw sheets.
Ensures proper early disclosures are complete, accurate, and delivered timely, when appropriate.
Accesses data base to assist customers with loan payments or account information, when requested.
May assist with projects within the assigned department.
Serves in other capacities as requested.

QUALIFICATIONS

HS Diploma or equivalent
Associates Degree in business-related field preferred
2-5 years bank consumer/commercial loan processing experience
Broad knowledge of banking operations, policies, and procedures
Ability to work independently with moderate direct supervision
Ability to exercise tact and discretion
Ability to identify and rectify errors/irregularities in detailed documents
Excellent communication, organization, and multi-tasking skills
Proficient in use of Microsoft Office and bank software
