The commercial services middleware & ESB solution architect will work closely with the GE business application teams on new & repeatable customer facing applications to provide GIS platform solutions & infrastructure services with emphasis on application architecture & engineering work.
You will be a Platform services thought leader & key decision maker responsible for application services, application architectures, design & implementation as well as technical mentoring & project work.

Provide middleware application services & ESB solution architecture guidelines
Provide technical standards including tools & platforms to GE business application development teams
Manage the project through implementation into production & L3 application support
Work closely with the GE business application teams to leverage standard platform services
Work closely with the system, data & infrastructure architects to develop customer solutions
Advance business solutions that require interactions & integrations between tools & systems
Lead projects & work with the services team to design & build a new customer facing application
Lead projects through tollgate process & work with the platform services team on new application implementations & application support process improvements
Coordinate with teams on new customer facing services and update application & operational documents
Minimum 4 years of hands-on experience installing and configuring messaging systems (e.g., MQ Series Clusters), Message Broker and its successful deployment within the Linux environment
Minimum 4 years of experience automating day to day tasks for managing a complex messaging infrastructure and a good knowledge Horizontal and Vertical scaling ESB Platforms
Minimum 4 years of hands-on experience creating change management processes for deploying applications within the messaging infrastructure
Minimum 4 years of experience with integrating Oracle, SQL, and other major database platforms
Minimum 4 years of strong experience with MQ Series (or similar) Workflow admin production support
Minimum 4 years of experience with Active MQ, Apache Camel, Karaf and Service Mix ESB
Minimum 1 year of server administration experience in Apache Tomcat, ESB, JBOSS,JEE - Java Servlet, JDBC, JMS, JPA, JAXB, JAX-WS, JSSE
Minimum 2 years engineering, developing, deploying & administering customer-facing applications in the enterprise
Minimum 2 years of demonstrated project leadership, facilitation, and customer service experience

Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Business, Management, or other Technical degree
Minimum 1 year of experience in Java Frameworks, Struts1/2, Spring, Hibernate, Struts, Drools, XML/XSD/XSLT, JAXB, XML Beans, SOA – Web services
Experience with ESB on private and public cloud is a plus
Experience of creation of Hybrid / private cloud services is a plus
Fundamental understanding of virtualization technologies (Hypervisors (VMWare, Xen, etc.) is a plus
Experience with IDEs (Eclipse), CMSs (Alfresco, SVN, CVS), and build tools (Hudson) is a plus
Demonstrated ability to drive projects based on business strategies and customer requirements
Ability to work with global teams; act independently and as part of a team
Proven track record of initiating and driving actions to improve performance of IT systems
Proven ability to define business requirements and apply various technical solutions
Strong track record of understanding and interest in current and emerging technologies demonstrated through training, job experience and / or industry activities
Strong team player – collaborates well with others to solve problems and actively incorporates input from various sources
Demonstrated customer focus – evaluates decisions through the eyes of the customer, builds strong customer relationships and creates processes with customer viewpoint
Customer service skills to manage technical issues in complex, difficult or stressful situations
Oral and written communication skills to effectively communicate technical information to audiences at all levels of the organization
