This position will be the primary resource for supplier selection and procurement for all materials in the assigned commodity with the goals of best quality and best price. Additionally the Commodity Manager will be charged with achieving year over year improvement in performance for a group of commodities. Performance is measured in terms of quality, delivery, cost, and NPI schedule. The Commodity Manager will act as Project leader for Procurement and Supplier Quality Engineering resources, as well as partner with R&D, Manufacturing, and Finance to achieve these objectives.

Key Responsibilities:
•Manages the supply base for assigned commodities in terms of Quality, Delivery and Cost.
•Leads strategic sourcing and supply base management projects for assigned commodities.
•Leads supplier business reviews using supplier performance metrics, and continuous improvement plans to achieve year over year improvement in quality, delivery, and cost.
•Leads supply agreement negotiations resulting in favorable terms that mitigate risks, reduces inventory, and reduces costs.
•Leads early supplier involvement in New Product Development projects to ensure DFX is fully considered, and product schedules are supported.
•Supports Procurement, and acts as delivery escalation for Supply Chain Planning.
•Cross-functional team leader for Commodity Team; coordinates daily activities of Supplier Quality, and Procurement to meet objectives.
•Responsible and accountable for carrying out the requirements of the company's quality system.
•Responsible for improved efficiency, and effectiveness in procurement and planning for assigned commodities.

Knowledge/Experience:
•Bachelors degree in Business, Supply Chain, or Engineering. MBA preferred.
•Minimum of 7 years of experience with progressive responsibilities in Procurement and Supply Chain Management
•Demonstrated experience leading cross-functional teams to achieve significant improvements in supplier performance
•Strong communication and negotiation skills with a variety of internal and external partners to achieve objectives
•Demonstrated experience with supply chain/procurement tools such as: ERP (Oracle preferred); supplier replenishment signaling; e-procurement
•Ability to travel frequently both domestically and internationally
•Ability to lift 25lbs with or without accommodations
