Job Title: Commodity Manager
Department: Procurement FLSA Status: Exempt

Essential Responsibilities:
  • Develop and communicate category strategies
  • Develop supplier technology roadmaps
  • Negotiate contracts
  • Manage the bid and quote process
  • Serve as a point of contact for BU sourcing issues and opportunities related to category management
  • Establish goals, improvement plans, business reviews and monthly reporting related to areas of responsibility
  • Establish processes to improve the costs savings measures for the category.
  • Establish mechanisms to promote the culture of savings within the engineering community.
  • Lead supplier selections and cross functional sourcing boards
  • Drive quality & delivery performance
  • Sourcing of embedded software, licenses and services
  • Manage technology roadmap alignment between supplier base and business unit
  • Drive and lead cost reduction activities in terms of negotiation and event driven cost reduction opportunities.
Basic Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree (Information Systems, Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Finance or Law preferred)
  • 4+ years experience in Procurement or Sourcing
  • Passion for new technologies, media and system software
  • Experience with contract negotiations
  • Experienced with MS Office applications, SAP/R3 is optional
  • Strongly engaged and motivated
  • Self dependent work behavior, flexibility and the ability for continous learning
