As Electronics Commodity Manager, using your project management skills you will support New Product Development initiatives, manage Suppliers, contribute to drive Gross Margin Improvement (GMI) efforts, use LEAN tools to proactively help develop improved supplier

You will leverage your previous experience to develop and manage annual, three year and five year commodity strategies and objectives to optimize total material cost and return on procured assets.
Developing and administering dependable supply sources you will secure and maintain Supplier active interest and cooperation and manage optimal procurement for consolidated commodity requirements, on a multi-plant wide basis. As a strategic and collaborative partner, you will ensure that suppliers are rated consistently and fairly and provide regular, timely feedback regarding performance.
Working as a key partner with Welch Allyn R & D teams, you will ensure mutual understanding of multi-year supplier technology / product roadmaps, effectively integrating early supplier involvement for optimal commercial engagements, and manage last time buys for End of Life (EOL) products
You will determine supplier capability / feasibility, be involved in supplier selection and negotiate supplier agreements. Supplier management efforts will include contract negotiations, supplier performance, and issue resolution. Supplier development issues will also include application of LEAN Six Sigma (LSS) to help achieve GMI Improvements and improve suppler performance. A results oriented, decisive high achiever, you have excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and communications skills and are comfortable interacting with all levels of the organization.
A BSEE is desired. Bachelor’s is required. ISM, CPM, APICS CPIM certification is a plus as is SAP familiarity. Demonstrated technical experience with: silicon based devices (microprocessors, controllers, power devices, (ASIC’s) and modules (IRDA, Blue Tooth, RF), printed circuit board assemblies (PCBA) and passive components (cables, power cord, etc) is essential.
Establishing component level contracts utilized by EMS manufacturing partners on a Global basis is desired,
