Our highly respected and profitable client desires an experienced Commodity Manager for their location in the Findlay, OH area.

Due to the company’s past growth and plans for future development, they are looking to identify operational leaders to join their team.

-Manage commodity of innovative raw materials and associated supplier relationships

- Develop and execute of a comprehensive and continuously optimized commodity strategy.

-Assess company requirements & global supply markets for innovative raw materials.

-Develop, implement, and strategically manage global supply chains for innovative raw materials including all critical processes/functions such as new supplier qualification, selection, development, and performance management.

-Update costing and forecast models for key raw materials.

-Monitor the market to maintain an accurate and timely awareness of critical supplier activities, financial reports, capabilities, and potential new entrants.

- Initiate and complete complex commercial agreement negotiations with suppliers in support of product development initiatives associated with high-value innovation projects.

-Continuously develop and improve methods and processes to optimize the supply chain development and management processes for innovative raw materials.

- Accept responsibility and maintain accountability for managing complex projects.

- Track and report project progress/status to various internal stakeholders including key members of executive management.

-Regularly participate in and lead project teams and project tracking meetings.


-Bachelor’s degree (Required)

-5 or more years of recent experience in Commodity Management, Purchasing, Procurement or Sourcing Raw Materials from a large premier manufacturing company (Required)

-Demonstrated success in reducing purchased materials costs (Required)

-Strong negotiation, communication, leadership and analytical skills (Required)
