Responsible for supporting the Communications plans and strategies implemented by Corporate Communications Consumer Group leadership, and contributing to the operations of the team. This position will assist the Consumer Groups' department members in shaping and communicating Comcast's key product & service messages to the media (consumer, business, trade, digital); and work cross-functionally with multiple internal stakeholders to ensure message alignment. This position also is responsible for executing tasks that help support the team and its members, including database and lists management and other administrative tasks as necessary. This position reports to the Executive Director of Corporate Communications.
Core Responsibilities
Draft press materials including press releases, fact sheets and media alerts; updates for social media sites, and coordinate the distribution of press releases.
Newsgather across the team and business units, and conducts online/printed materials research, to collect information and data important to message development
Coordinate trade show activities
Project manage key PR initiatives to ensure deadlines are being met and the campaign is on-track
Carry out projects after general review of framework has been agreed upon.
Track and monitor expenses ensuring compliance with annual budget.
Manage calendars and arrange meetings that require the attendance of multiple executives
Field incoming inquiries from media or others that may require immediate attention from the Corp Comm team
Continually learn and keep up-to-date on the business, its technology foundation, and industry dynamics
Minimum Requirements:
Education Level Bachelors Degree or Equivalent
Field of Study Communications / Public Relations
Generally requires 2-5 years related experience

Creates films, slides, or other visual presentations and plan
conventions.
Writes promotional material, updates for social media sites and
coordinates press releases.
Assists in set up of press briefings and news conferences.
Assists in set up of exhibitions and conferences.
Carries out research and evaluations of published materials,
interviews, and surveys.
Carries out projects after general review of framework has been agreed
upon.
Tracks and monitors invoices ensuring compliance with annual budget.
Coordinates and tracks all sponsorship activities including declines,
check request, invitations, attendee lists, program book placements and
other recognition, giveaways, executive participation (ex. talking
points), etc.
Regular, consistent and punctual attendance. Must be able to work
nights and weekends, variable schedule(s) and overtime as necessary.
