Primary Responsibilities: The successful candidate will have experience in managing the development, implementation and support of traffic management/ITS initiatives. These initiatives include integrated traffic signal systems, incident management systems, traffic management systems, traffic information systems and other ITS components including, but not limited to, computerized arterial traffic signals, Dynamic/Variable Message Signs, closed circuit television surveillance (Traffic Cameras), Phone Systems and traffic movement detectors, operating within a both wireless and wired networks.

Basic Qualifications: Bachelor of Science in Engineering plus 6-8 years of experience in multidisciplinary communications projects with a focus on RF, wireless 802.11x (DSRC, WiFi, WiMax), test and evaluation, and the use of both the Modeling and Simulation suite of tools and communications analysis tools such as SNTs Exata, OPNET AppResponse Xpert and spectrum analyzers. Fourteen (14) to 16 years of directly-related experience could be considered in lieu of education.

The candidate must be able to communicate (verbal and written) technical information in a logical and well thought-out manner.

Preferred Qualifications:
•Network modeling and simulation experience.
•Familiarity with network analysis software.
•Electrical Engineering PE.
•Experience with public safety communications.
