Education Required: Associates Degree or formal communications systems-related technical training. Four years of work experience with a degree or 8 years of work experience without a degree.
Skills Required: Skilled use of network, video, radio frequency and troubleshooting tools (e.g., WireShark, video encoders, and spectrum analyzers). Expertise with installation and testing of network, video, and radio frequency equipment in lab and field environments.
Skills Desired: Installation and testing of network, video, and radio frequency equipment in airborne platforms.
Position Description: Provide advanced technical support in the design, installation, configuration, and testing of military communications systems providing low-latency video, metadata, and voice in fixed locations and on mobile—usually aerial—platforms. Provide on-site and deployed support for customer projects to support current technologies and to integrate new technologies that achieve better performance. Develop documentation and drawings in support of the project. Provide training to customers on configuration, operation, and troubleshooting of new equipment.
