Position: Communications Director
Organization: The Kapor Center
Location: Oakland, CA
The Kapor Center is seeking a creative, progressive, hands-on media strategist to join the Kapor Center leadership in order to drive our external communications efforts, using reasonably limited resources to amplify our impact. Given that our organizational DNA thrives at the intersection of information technology and social justice, we’re interested in working with a communications professional with an expertise in planning and implementing tech-driven strategies and activities that will enable us to share – and ultimately influence – social impact efforts and movements.
Additionally, as the Kapor Center solidifies its unified brand and related programs, the Communications Director will rank as the lead internal advocate for the management and maintenance of that brand.
The Communications Director will begin by conducting an assessment of communications opportunities and possibilities in order to determine the scope and direction of this work
Compensation and Benefits:
Salary is competitive and commensurate with experience.
About The Kapor Center:

Broadly stated, we believe in leveraging the power of information technology to benefit underserved communities in the United States.
