This job reports to the Director of Communications .

Relocation is not provided and travel is not required.

This is a Full-Time position , working 1st Shift .

Individual will assist with news services and public relations for the College. Works closely with the Director of Communications and the Assistant Director of Communications for Public Relations and Marketing.

Job Skills/Requirements
Essential Job Functions:

Spend time regularly on campus talking to students, faculty, and staff to discover and develop interesting news stories;

Research and write articles and news releases, particularly weekly web stories;

Post weekly web stories to the Centre website and mobile site;

Manage photos on the Centre website home page and oversee Photo of the Week submissions;

Provide local news agencies with campus news and inf

Education Requirements
- Bachelors Degree

Additional Information/Benefits
Education and Experience

Course of study in public relations, journalism, English, marketing, or communications preferred. Experience as a reporter helpful.

Knowledge and Skills

Good written and oral communication skills, good organizational ability and marketing skills required.
