The Communications department is responsible for internal and external communications to union members, providers, and employers. The department handles all aspects of member communications including, elements from writing to design, and production to launch. The Graphic Design Intern may be involved in various aspects of the Communications department such as:
  • Catalog image libraries and project materials
  • Assist the design team with print and digital design
  • Work closely with staff on various communication projects
  • Provide clerical support
Qualifications:
  • College undergraduate student currently enrolled in Junior or Senior year with a Graphic Design, Communication Arts or related major
  • Proficiency with Adobe CS5, InDesign, Photoshop and Illustrator; basic skill level in Microsoft Excel and Word required
  • Basic understanding of best practices for digital and print design; solid typography and layout design skills
  • Willingness to learn and take direction from creative leads
  • Team player, self-starter, ability to multi-task, detail oriented with strong organizational skills and professional demeanor
  • Ability to work 21 hours per week; flexible hours Mon-Fri (9-5pm)
