The Communications Manager, GE Manufacturing Solutions, will be the internal and external communications leader for a new, Ft. Worth based start-up manufacturing operation based on the high-performance, work-team-based principles. In this role you will demonstrate your leadership in communicating the business strategy, goals, and objectives as well as developing, managing and building cross-business ownership for effective internal and external communication programs and processes.
Lead and manage the organization’s communications with key stakeholder audiences including: employees and prospective employees, the media, the community, state and local government officials, and others
Work with team-members throughout the operation to help ensure effective information flow is taking place
Help communicate with other vital stakeholders such as customers and industry leaders
Develop and/or serve as lead writer for a broad range of communications such as publications, press releases and briefings, speeches, presentations, announcements etc. for use with both internal and external audiences in support of the business strategy
Continuously monitor, measure, and evaluate the effectiveness of communication efforts
Serve as spokesperson for the business
Coordinate with other company businesses in the DFW Metroplex on subjects of mutual interest and requiring regional coordination such as contributions and interfacing with various government entities
Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university
Minimum of 5 years of experience in a combination of external and internal communications roles in a large organization

Bachelor’s Degree in Journalism or Communications
Minimum of 5 years of experience in all facets of communications (writing, graphics, production, Reputation Management, special events, video, etc.)
Strong oral and written communication skills
Strong interpersonal and leadership skills
Significant experience in corporate communications preferably in a manufacturing setting
Established planning, organizational, and execution ability
Proven facilitation ability
