Fendi Americas is looking for a Communications Manager to develop c omprehensive strategies for events, corporate communications and advertising for Fendi in the Americas.

  • Conceptualize an event strategy focused on both retail and image events meant to increase retail sales annually, as well properly position Fendi within the regional markets
  • Create and manage events budget and calendar for the fiscal year
  • Work with VPs of Retail and Store Managers to identify opportunities for client development, as they relate to in store events and partnerships
  • Identify strategic partners in local markets (Charitable Organizations, Art Institutions, etc) and negotiate mutually beneficial collaborations to garner exposure for Fendi, increase brand awareness and bring a new client base to the Fendi boutiques
  • Develop and maintain relationships with VIP clients to better enhance the exposure of FENDI products and encourage sale
  • Hire and manage outside vendors for all events, as needed
  • Oversee gifts and charitable donations
  • Develop and pitch major brand features within national and regional titles based on the brand's annual initiatives and analysis of past editorial coverage
  • Responsible for garnering and developing print and digital press coverage on all special projects and events for FENDI Americas to increase brand exposure
  • Strategically plans the annual national and regional media plan for fashion, timepiece, eyewear and Casa advertising
  • Manages and develops annual creative rotation for national and regional media plans
  • Oversee coordinator in managing all communications between Rome advertising team, US advertising agency, local printer and licensee partners
  • Oversee coordinator in managing regional leased required advertising, ensuring all requirements are met and regional exposure is maximized
  • Manages all corporate sponsorships, gifting and donations to ensure the brand is aligned with the appropriate organizations
  • Work with advertising partners to leverage and maximize added value programs
  • BA Communications or related field
  • Established event and VIP contacts
  • Minimum 5 years PR or event experience
  • Ability for frequent travel
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong planning an organizational skills with a sense of priority and attention to detail
  • Comfortable in making autonomous decisions in a timely manner
  • Ability to react to change of business needs
  • Ability to negotiate with peers and external groups
  • Ability to relate and work with all kinds of people inside and outside the organization
  • Ability to come up with new and creative ideas
  • Ability to manage budgets and stay within related means
  • Ability to operate all equipment and programs necessary to perform the job
