The position of Communications Manager has recently become available on the Public Relations / Communications Team within the Marketing Department of Customer Success.

Responsible for managing the development, implementation and coordination of internal and external public relations strategies or marketing strategies with the goal of establishing and maintaining a favorable image of the company with investors, customers, employees and the public. Consults with marketing, marketing communication, sales, advertising and HR in order to project the appropriate message to both external and internal media. May interface with public relations agency and act as the corporate spokesperson to the media, analysts, customers and the general public at large.

The person in this role must be able to develop strategic communication plans, and execute a wide variety of external and internal communications, including online newsletter and blog articles, presentations and speaking scripts. This individual must also be expert in planning, writing and organizing strategic projects, including acquisition, executive and organizational communications.

In addition to superior writing skills, this role also includes collaboration and strong project management to support the MPT public relations/communications initiatives. Candidates should have demonstrated the ability to develop a project plan, execute the details in a timely fashion within a matrixed environment, and track progress against team and project metrics and objectives.

This role requires the proven ability to work well with product marketing and other business unit and PR professionals at all levels.

Candidates should be Web-savvy and must highly organized and efficient, detail-oriented and able to problem-solve and multitask under deadline pressure. Energy, a positive attitude and a strong work ethic are definite advantages.

This is an on-site position at Windward Parkway, Alpharetta, GA vs. a remote position.

Occasional travel is required (less than 5 percent).

Must be flexible with hours and able to multi-task under deadline pressure.

Must be a strong writer.

Must be highly organized, detail-oriented, and metrics-driven.

Must be comfortable with the use of online communications tools.

Familiarity with Web-based content management systems a plus.

Must be an expert Word, Excel and PowerPoint user.

Journalism or prior media relations experience a plus.

5+ years communications, public relations or related experience including 2+ years managerial experience

5+ years internal and external communications experience, preferably in a corporate environment

Proven experience managing projects effectively, working with multiple levels of management and leading cross-functional teams

Superior written and verbal communication skills including informational interviewing skills

Ability to manage multiple long-term and short-term projects simultaneously

Problem-solving skills, creative-thinking skills, decision-making skills, analytical skills and the ability to work independently

General knowledge and understanding of high technology software and services, hospital/healthcare/enterprise information systems, current information systems technology, competitive products and services, healthcare trends and industry standards

Customer service skills (internal and external)

Interpersonal/relationship-building skills

Project management skills, organizational/time management skills, skill in attending to detail and managing multiple projects simultaneously

Works well in a team environment

Highly motivated, self-starter

4-year degree in journalism, communications, business or related field or equivalent experience
