Sr. Communications Specialist/ Junior Comms Manager

you will work closely with the different Marketing teams within HERE business unit to ensure an integrated planning and execution.

This person should have very strong interpersonal skills, be a proven team player with a strategic mindset, have strong attention to detail, work well across virtual teams, and

has already

a good understanding about the vertical media landscape and has

established relationships with key influencers.

The

HERE

Communications team is globally responsible for developing external and internal communications strategies for Nokia's

HERE business, closely aligned with HERE's Product Marketing, Marketing and Go-To-Market (GTM) strategy. The global Communications function works in tight cooperation with the regional and country communication teams to ensure a targeted and consistent message is effectively communicated to key external audiences around the world. A profound understanding on “how”

Area Communication teams are working is crucial.

Reporting

This role reports to the Director Communications, Location & Commerce

Qualifications

You should have a minimum of 3-5 years of media relations and corporate communications experience, ideally with a journalist or editor background. A mix of agency and corporate, direct experience managing corporate reputation and change communications projects would be preferred. , Experience in software and developer communications as well as a strong industry understanding is required.

You should be able to think and write like a journalist, easily translating complex technology speak into true consumer benefits for appeal to broad audiences. You should have first experiences with media relations and should feel comfortable to interact with media in a highly volatile environment. delivering under time pressure and tough deadlines is energizing rather than exhausting.

Working with influencers and bloggers,

within the social media sphere is part of your repertoire. Experience in mobile, wireless/tech/LBS, consumer electronics, consumer entertainment, consumer durables, and/or digital/media industries preferred.

Strong project management skills, excellent writing and content creation skills are requested as well as a good understanding of the value or working closely with marketing and other disciplines in the company, You have solid experience in creative campaign execution and must possess a story-telling mindset.

While this role will be focused primarily on external communications, this individual will also work closely with the rest of the communications team to further internal/employee awareness of Nokia's HERE strategy and business priorities and promotion of the company's successes and wins within the broader employee base. As such, some internal communications experience is a bonus.

Writing samples and references will also be required.
