New Directions is seeking a Communications Manager in Kansas City, MO to be responsible for writing business proposals, developing presentations and creating written communications for members and providers. The Communications Manager will collaborate with all departments and with external stakeholders to ensure accurate, professional and timely documents.

The Communication Manager’s key responsibilities include:
Acts as administrator for the PMAPS proposal software

Coordinates with all departments to ensure accuracy of documents written or reviewed by Subject Matter Experts (SMEs)

Manages proposal projects via PMAPS

Writes EAP and MBH proposals

Assists Sales and Account Management with EAP proposals

Collaborates with RFP Consultant to review and rewrite proposal templates for EAP, MBH, and other projects as assigned

Assists in preparation of the following publications

News and Views, monthly company newsletter

E-Directions, weekly tips program for EAP

Healthy Directions, monthly wellness newsletter

Clinical articles for website

Provides backup to Communications Director to assist in preparing communications such as the CEO Blog, internal announcements, materials with clinical focus, and others as assigned

Uses Adobe Creative Suite to assist Marketing Manager in preparation or revision of promotional and marketing collateral

Coordinates changes to the website ( www.ndbh.com ) in collaboration with the Marketing Manager and IT

Provides ad hoc editing for written materials developed within the Company

Required Qualifications:
Master’s degree in a behavioral health field (psychology, social work, counseling, marriage& family)

Clinical license for independent practice in Kansas, Missouri, Arkansas and/or Florida

Minimum three years clinical experience

Experience using Microsoft Office products, especially Word and Power Point

Preferred Qualifications:
Training or experience in adult education

Demonstrated training or experience in writing grants and/or business proposals

Experience with Adobe Create Suite

Experience with PMAPS proposal software

Undergraduate degree in English or Journalism

Photography Experience
