Sony Electronics Inc. has an immediate need for a Manager of Brand Communications based out of our San Diego, California Headquarters in Rancho Bernardo. This individual manages the strategic and creative development process for individual product category(ies) with agency partners and internal resources, including but not limited to: development and execution of campaign strategy documents, creative briefs, concepts, and materials (including print, online ads, FSI/catalogs, TV ads, OOH, email, viral, and others as appropriate); local adaptation of global assets provided by the global marketing group (including print, online ads, TV ads, OOH, etc.); production and timely delivery of materials in adherence with process/policy standards; and financial accountability of project budgets.

The Manager of Brand Communications is the liaison between all consumer touch points (web, retail, collateral, events/trade shows, direct mail, PR, etc.), responsible for insuring consistency of message and creative elements and that business needs of the category and brand are met. This role manages the production process of campaigns or localization of global campaigns and insures all touch point are consistent and on strategy. Be the support contact on production to insure these commitments are fulfilled regardless of where the production assets originate (i.e. global campaign assets). Support the Sr. Manager in managing the Agency relationship and insuring work is on strategy, meeting budget requirements and timelines. Work with the Marketing strategy team to insure efforts are meeting target consumer's needs. Support management in strategy sessions to create promotional programs that drive demand and build the brand. Solicit input from product managers, sales managers, direct team, marketing management (including research) and product information managers in order to better build and drive programs. Additional duties/projects as needed, such as presentations of creative, business and Marcom strategies to category/product teams. Additional duties assigned as needed.

Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree in Business, Advertising, Marketing, Communications or related field or equivalent experience in lieu of a degree, required

·

Must have a minimum of 5 years related marketing experience including experience in strategy development and management of integrated marketing campaign projects

·

Must have a minimum of 3 years of advertising agency experience or 3 years of client side work experience leading integrated agency marketing efforts required

·

Minimum of 4 years supervisory/project lead experience, strongly preferred

·

Experience understanding and working within a pre-set project budget and timelines, required

·

Must be an excellent communicator (verbal, written, and presentation) with the ability to interact effectively and build relationships with employees at all levels within the organization as well as with external resources

·

Must have a working knowledge of all Microsoft Office products with intermediate skills in Powerpoint and Outlook

·

Must be a detail-oriented thinker and possess extremely strong organizational skills to manage multiple projects under tight deadlines
