The Communications Specialist must possess an array of proven skills to effectively create, manage and/or facilitate all aspects of the RFP process including, but not limited to, strategy development, campaign development, writing and design execution, and project management.
The Communications Specialist will be charged with creating individual and/or collective communications that increase sales, retain existing clients and improve DQ’s brand position in the marketplace. This position will provides day-to-day project management and facilitation on key communications related to RFPs, RFIs, national conferences, wellness and disease management, provider outreach, vision, public relations, corporate branding and board presentations.
JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Creates and/or facilitates successful RFP and communication strategies/campaigns and materials that directly increase sales and retain existing clients.
Collaborates pro-actively with business development and client services to support their goals and objectives.
Ensures consistency of corporate image and information to all audiences through all mediums including the web.
Maintains and evaluates partnerships with design firms. Evaluate partnerships (with managerial input) by using strategic thinking,

3-5 years work experience preferred in RFP communications, healthcare marketing communications/sales environment.
College degree or relevant experience required.
Excellent project management skills.
Excellent writing, oral and presentation skills.
Experience working with/managing an agency.
Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
Energetic and resourceful.
Organized and attentive to details and deadlines.
Experience working with graphic designers and printers.
Comfortable with the Internet.
