Job Description:
Tetra Tech ARD, based in Burlington, Vermont (
is accepting expressions of interest for a full time
Communications Specialist to join its home office. The
Communications Specialist works under the general
supervision of the Tetra Tech ARD President and is
primary liaison for outreach, marketing, and reporting
across Tetra Tech ARD and Tetra Tech International
Development Services as well as Tetra Tech Corporate
Communications. This Specialist oversees all marketing
publications, content for internal and external
publications and websites, advertising campaigns, and
overall branding strategy in collaboration with
technical staff and the broader Tetra Tech family of
companies. The ideal candidate has a degree in a related
field, actively contributes to the success of teams as
both a strong leader and member, is an excellent
communicator across cultures, with outstanding writing
and synthesizing skills, and is exceptionally
well-organized. The position is based in Burlington,

  • Oversee and execute messaging, marketing
communications, and advertising/branding campaigns
(online, print,
website, social media, conferences/events, community
relations) while coordinating with internal and external
clients to support company branding initiatives;
  • Design and coordinate all aspects of visual marketing
needs for Tetra Tech ARD, including print ads,
print collateral, and website development;
  • Serve as writer/editor for content across media, and
guide development of concepts and materials for DC-based
events, for Tetra Tech ARD or the broader Tetra Tech
International Development Services group;
  • Manage direction and maintenance of the website, harvest content from
for intranet, best practices, and development of Tetra
Tech ARD products for business development trips and
print collateral;
  • Select and direct external vendors and resources in
execution of creative or production projects;
  • Provide support to business development efforts and
field office staff in strategy implementation as
  • Manage identity pieces, promotional items, and
Vermont-based sponsorship and branding opportunities for
Tech ARD;
  • Deliver orientations and trainings related to
marketing and communications; and
  • Related duties as deemed appropriate and necessary by
the Tetra Tech ARD President.

Job Requirements:Qualifications:
  • Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree, preferably in
communications, marketing or a related area;
  • Prior experience in a professional office environment;
  • Excellent communication and information management
skills, with very strong attention to detail;
  • Ability to organize own work and perform independently
while closely and appropriately coordinating with team
  • Excellent ability to integrate into teams smoothly and
understand requirements quickly;
  • Very strong writing and synthesis skills;
  • High level proficiency Adobe Creative suite, MS Office
applications, and databases;
  • High level of reliability and track record of follow
  • Must be comfortable working in a fast paced and
sometimes intense work environment on deadline;
  • Must be an energetic and enthusiastic team player; and
  • U.S. citizenship or a valid U.S. work permit is an
absolute requirement.
