The College of Nursing seeks a Communications and Marketing Associate for the NICHE, a program which develops research, clinical programs, and health care training tools to improve geriatric care in hospitals and health care institutions. Reporting to Director of Operations, develop and disseminate communication across several mediums related to healthcare and the geriatric care environment. Author short articles for trade publications and marketing materials around the care of older adults; work with marketing and design firms; and facilitate NICHE webinar program including managing consultants and vendors who host webinars. Oversee copy write, design, layout, paste up, and promotion of marketing materials and NICHE newsletter, and perform webinar trend analyses.
BA in Journalism, English, Communications or equivalent experience
2 years related experience which must include experience with all aspects of event planning and implementation including site selection, theme development, vendor negotiations, and staff supervision. The succcessful candidate will have excellent interpersonal, organizational, and problem solving, verbal and written communication skills.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: (include unique competencies, certification, licenses, etc.):
Excellent writing skills with aptitude for high proficiency in leading social media and other media campaigns, good judgment, and ability to develop expertise on healthcare policy, law, and practice environments. Must be detail-oriented and able to work in a deadline-driven environment. Ability to work independently, prioritize workload and solve problems quickly.Strong attention to detail and knowledge of word processing, spreadsheet and database applicaitons are necessary.
