This is a full-time position, mainly Monday-Friday daytime hours.
May include occasional evening or weekend hours.
Responsibilities will include the formulation, direction, and coordination of all library communications, programming, and marketing activities to enhance the visibility and community perception of the library, including the library website.
Will manage a department of 4 staff ( 2.1 full time equivalents).
Qualified applicants must have a BA in Marketing, Communications, or Advertising;
and at least 5 years' experience in marketing with demonstrated expertise in
developing and implementing a formal marketing plan.
The successful candidate will have expertise or experience in website management, various social media, conducting research, public relations, and programming in a comparable setting. Must have strong management skills, the ability to establish departmental goals and objectives, and develop a budget for the department.
Must be able to communicate effectively in English, and be articulate with excellent
oral, written, and active listening skills.

Minimum starting salary is $51,000, plus full time benefits, including paid vacation, health insurance, and participation in the Illinois Municipal Retirement Fund.
