The Georgia Department of Human Services, Division
of Aging Services (DAS) is seeking qualified candidates for
the position of Section Manager, Community
Cares Services Program (CCSP).

The Georgia Department of Human Services, (DHS) was formed in July
2009 as part of the reorganization of the former Georgia Department
of Human Resources, which had served Georgia since 1972. DHS delivers
a wide range of human services designed to promote self-sufficiency,
safety and well-being for all Georgians.

The department is one of the largest agencies in state government
with an annual budget of $1.8 billion and 8,500 employees. DHS is
comprised of 3 Divisions and 7 Offices.

Under broad supervision,
directs the planning, development and management of the state’s
1915c Medicaid Waiver Program, CCSP, in accordance with applicable
federal and state laws, rules and regulations and through contract
agencies and their providers. Includes monitoring of programmatic
outcomes and compliance with contract deliverables with Georgia’s
twelve Area Agencies on Aging. Responsible for meeting deliverables
set by the Department of Community Health for the CCSP.

Participates in setting Division goals, objectives, policies and
procedures consistent with the Division and Department’s mission.
Responsible for developing and maintaining policy and procedures
for Home and Community Based Services, including Care Coordination
and Provider Enrollment.

Manages professional and clerical staff.


Bachelors' Degree in
a related field AND Two years of management of
subordinate supervisors in a human service delivery program OR
Masters' Degree AND One year of management of subordinate
supervisors in a human service delivery program


Preference will be given to
candidates, who in addition to meeting the qualifications listed above,

possess the following:
  • Ability to train
and provide consultation regarding policies and procedures

  • Experience with Quality Assurance methodologies, quality outcomes
  • Experience with the Malcolm Baldrige Criteria for Performance

  • Grants management experience
  • Budget development and management experience
  • Knowledge of the Aging Network, Older American’s Act,
Medicaid and Non- Medicaid Home and Community Based Services

  • Licensure or certification in a field related to the area
of assignment, such as Gerontology

  • Progressive Management Experience

Note : Current state employees are subject to
the statewide salary plan administration practices. This position
is a pay grade 19 on the statewide salary plan.
