Postmates is looking for a sharp, driven and dynamic individual to build our local community across online and offline channels. In this role you will have the opportunity to shape the voice and brand of a fast growing company in a major way.

You will lead local marketing efforts in your city and be a key point of contact with the Postmates community. You will build meaningful relationships with our users and merchant partners. You will be one of the first members of the Growth team and work closely with the Director of Growth to develop our community engagement strategy.

This job requires a person with a range of skills and characteristics. Were looking for someone who is addicted to social media, comfortable in front of crowds, and capable of managing multiple projects at once. You must be fun, flexible and fearless. Most importantly, you must believe in the Postmates vision of transforming local commerce by providing an easy and efficient way to move goods around cities.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Develop and execute creative user engagement strategies, and measure ROI

Define city-specific social media strategy, including coordinated approach for Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, blog and other social channels

Deliver high quality, engaging, channel-specific content on a frequent basis

Engage community influencers who are (or should be) passionate about Postmates

Serve as the face of Postmates in your city; host, sponsor and attend local events

REQUIREMENTS

Social savvy: You have a naturally outgoing personality and are an influencer amongst your personal network. You're highly active on Twitter, Facebook, and other relevant sites and actively participate in discussions across communities, social networks and blogs

Strong communicator: You love to meet new people and can talk to nearly anyone. You are self aware, well-spoken and an excellent writer (grammar nerds wanted!)

Highly Organized: You can handle multiple tasks at once and deliver on time-sensitive projects.

Proactive nature: You develop plans to address new challenges and opportunities. You are comfortable making decisions independently and with limited information

- You believe in the Postmates vision and want to change the world
- Experience in social media management and/or event planning preferred
- Degree in marketing, PR or psychology a plus, not required
