Responsible for community outreach and education programs of the Family Heart and Nutrition Center, submission of related research grant proposals and progress reports, IRB submissions, development of educational material for mailing and/or website, coordination of fundraising and other events for patient populations served.
Five years professional experience; demonstrated team-building and leadership skills.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
Excellent written and verbal communication skills; excellent organizational skills; able to interact with others in a courteous, professional manner with a high level of confidentiality. Microsoft Word, Excel, Powerpoint. Able to lead and organize a volunteer corps that may include physicians, nurses, dietitians and students among othera. Confident and capable speaker/presenter; able to communicate with persons of diverse backgrounds and philosophies. Must be a self-starter with the ability to work with little or no supervision; able to work in fast paced environment and multi-task different job functions. Assess problems and develop solutions on own initiative following general policies and procedures; able to effectively handle non-routine tasks or problems.
