The Community Relations Coordinator is responsible for creating, supporting, executing and evaluating Community Relations events, charitable programs and corporate giving strategies . Additional responsibilities for this position are assisting with donation requests, maintain donation logs, coordinating materials for SSC events, be a liaison for Customer Service and delegate email and phone inquiries as needed. This person will also support of the companys overall corporate giving and community relations goals and build relationships with charitable organizations.

Reports To: Community and Corporate Relations Manager - Event Marketing
Sponsorport Donation Coordination - Address inquiries regarding donation requests and Customer Service issues. Fulfill donation requests per direction of the manager. Maintain coupon inventory and donation logs. Coordinate monthly report for Sponsorport requests and CMM donation logs. Coordinate coupon orders. Research and coordinate Community Marketing data and contact information to assist with department and Foundation needs. Serve as liaison for Conxeo for daily maintenance, Community Marketing structure, and monthly updates.
Community Relations Support - Assist with mailings and creating spreadsheets. Assemble items for events. Collaborate with Communication Team for corporate discounts and SSC events. Manage gift card requests from our group for sponsorships and Community Marketing allotment. Maintain gift card allotment and distribution log. Manage autographed items for distribution. Create program ads for sponsorships. Coordinate sponsorship elements. Maintain Community Marketing assets.
Grassroots Development & Execution - Participate and help to execute internal SSC events, outreach programs, and community events. Promote the use of Dick's Sporting Goods logo for display at sponsored events, charitable programs, and and related marketing materials. Communicate with all levels of associates about upcoming events and hospitality areas. Coordinate guest lists and ticket distribution for events. Host guests at corporate hospitality areas at events, such as Pittsburgh Marathon, Dick's Sporting Goods Open, Great Race, etc. Provide feedback to team on programs and events. Deliver level of excellence and professionalism on all events, programs or projects as assigned.
Charitable Outreach - Coordinate efforts around community giving and charitable programs. Build relationships with community organizations and encouraging them to choose Dick's Sporting Goods as their sporting goods retailer of choice. Establish relationships with professional teams and community organizations. Develop long-term relationships with schools and community groups to establish customer loyalty. Support community relationships - Carnegie Museums, Heinz History Center, Urban Impact Foundation, etc. Coordinate and attend Children's Hospital Teen Lounge visits and distribute DSG promo items to patients. Serve as DSG contact for charitable groups, - First Tee, St. Jude's, Girl Scouts, Girls on the Run, etc. Represent company at variety of events.
Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Advertising, Business Administration, Public Relations or Communications
3-5 years of experience
Ability to multi-task & work independently in fast-paced environment
Excellent interpersonal and team building skills
Flexible availability in work schedule (nights, weekends & holidays)
