Plan, develop and execute community relations plans to promote a positive company image among employees, customers, communities served and governmental entities.


Communicate and promote United Water’s commitment to the provision of high quality wastewater service and to the environment.


Serve as the point of contact in providing and releasing information to the news media, regulatory and civic contacts during emergency conditions.


Direct all volunteer programs and advise employees and senior management leaders on volunteer involvement and opportunities.


Participant in local tradeshows, creating visibility for the organization.


Develop key relationships with local news media, governmental and civic liaisons within the City of Indianapolis and the surrounding area.

Relationships must be established in order to disperse accurate and timely information about United Water Indianapolis.


Identify and integrate internal and external best practices into the organization in all aspects of community development to increase awareness of the organization in the community as a good corporate citizen.


Work Experience Needed


3-5 experience in public relations or a related field.

Bachelor degree preferred or equivalent work experience.

Must hold and maintain a valid Indiana driver’s license.
