Purpose and Scope: The IRF Community Relations Coordinator is responsible for increasing consumer/physician demand for rehabilitation services on the inpatient rehabilitation facility. Responsible for the development and implementation of activities intended to educate and inform professionals and community as a whole of the rehabilitation program/services offered at VHC. The incumbent shall collect patient data of referred patients, to be presented to the medical director for a decision for admission and or appropriate level of care. I.
Position Requirements: A. Experience: Five or more years of well-rounded marketing experience with at least two years of previous experience within an Inpatient Rehabilitation Program. Registered Nurse preferred. B.
Other Qualifications: Graduate of a four year bachelors degree program in a health related, business or public relations area of concentration is preferred. A track record of successful professional and community relations experience in health care setting, strong interpersonal skills and experience working with an adult geriatric, physically and or cognitively challenged, population is desirable. Provisions of own transportation is necessary.
