Supports the community relations, marketing, and product teams by providing assistance to members during all phases of the membership lifecycle, including welcome, engagement, redetermination, and re-enrollment, and by acting as a liaison between Network Health, our members, and our community partners. The community relations representative will be responsible for handling prospective member inquiries generated through acquisition and retention campaigns and community outreach efforts by helping convert prospective members into members. The community relations representative is also responsible for timely and accurate data entry based on information collected during outreach efforts and community-based events. The community relations representative also supports other activities related to the community relations, marketing and product teams, such as event calendar management, inventory fulfillment, event coverage, PowerPoint creation, and social media awareness-generation.

  • Support community relations representatives and membership acquisition and retention campaigns by following up with all prospect, lead, and member inquiries requesting application, renewal, or plan information
  • Log all prospect, lead, or member information received by the community relations representatives and/or outreach or membership efforts, timely and accurately into database
  • Create and maintain detailed activity and contacts using customer relationship management (CRM) database in accordance with established practices. Produce timely and accurate reports
  • Support the Supervisor, Community Relations Operations in execution of various projects, such as signage campaign, PowerPoints, community newsletters, or other initiatives as needed
  • Help prepare, fulfill, and ship inventory requests placed by members of the marketing team and other internal customers. Keep track of inventory used to assist with inventory management
  • Maintain detailed monthly event calendar reports tracking results, noting event participation, and indicating whether or not event should be considered for participation in the future based on feedback given by event attendees
  • Prepare for and set up materials and displays, and represent Network Health in the best possible fashion at community events such as street fairs, trade shows and health center events that provide awareness and goodwill opportunities for Network Health
  • Identify community activities and events that provide awareness and goodwill opportunities for Network Health that are compatible with the organization’s objectives
  • Track and analyze the number of members obtained or inquiries received as a result of event participation. Report on these findings regularly to supervisor and to broader team as requested
  • Support the marketing and community relations team by identifying ways to promote Network Health’s presence on social media sites, including daily posts and developing strategic initiatives to grow followers
  • Help plan and execute quarterly Consumer Advisory Council meetings by coordinating logistics, completing related projects, and preparing reports
  • Assist with other activities of the community relations, marketing and product teams, as needed
  • Provide outstanding customer service, with an ability to prioritize work duties in order to maintain prompt and efficient service
  • Must be able to work independently while openly communicating back to management and escalating issues as appropriate
  • Travel frequently to regions throughout Massachusetts with own vehicle, which may include evenings and weekends
  • Maintain good working knowledge of state contracts that govern marketing and outreach initiatives
  • Adhere to Network Health’s standards and consistency in style and tone, and maintain the highest possible quality standards on a consistent basis
  • Proactively share competitive information and intelligence with the marketing department and the organization as a whole
  • Be able to work collaboratively and cooperatively as a team member, fostering an atmosphere of trust and respect
  • Perform other duties as assigned
  • Associate’s degree
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • 2 to 3 years experience working in a marketing, sales, account management, communication, health care/health insurance, or customer service field
  • Strong preference to be fluent in English and Spanish or Portuguese and have an in-depth awareness of multicultural and diverse populations
  • Knowledge of and experience in health care marketing desirable
  • Must have proficient sales skills, including excellent oral and written communication skills, with the ability to interact with prospective members and members
  • Must have solid project management skills
  • Working knowledge of social media platforms is a plus
  • Must have strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and data entry skills
  • Must have working knowledge of Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and ideally proficient with CRM tools, like, and able to run reports
