We are seeking a dedicated, organized individual who is passionate about community service to join the firm as a Manager, Community Service.

Key Responsibilities:

s Management

Assist in management of Global Service Day (includes activities in more than 20 locations worldwide, 3000+ employees, coordination of several non-profit service providers)

Support several CEB volunteer events (organize logistics, advertise, coordinate follow-up) in the DC area, including Breathe Deep DC, Treats 4 Troops, and Angel Tree

Work with CEB offices and departments globally to develop and organize community service events across the year

Publicize CITC activities internally, working closely with CEB Global Communications, CPS and Marketing departments

Volunteer Coordination

Serve as main point of contact for team of Service Leaders who are responsible for developing service events and motivating CEB staff to become involved in community service

Manage calendar of all service related events held at CEB

Deliver service-related orientation for new CEB employees

Coordination of Waterview volunteer fair

Serve as point of contact for all service-related questions


Manage employee volunteer hours tracking system, including informing managers when staff have earned “service days”

Schedule calls/visits with heads of philanthropy and community engagement at member and local companies to discuss and share best practices

Maintain relationship with JK Group (external vendor responsible for employee gift matching)

Manage special gift matching opportunities (e.g. dedicated Red Cross microsites for natural disasters)

Maintain and update CITC site on Boardwalk and CITC external website

Prepare quarterly report of CITC activities for CLT

Support CEB pro bono corps activities

Partner with CEB L&D group to develop volunteer activities that provide employee development opportunities

Take on special projects as needed

Partner Relationship Management

Serve as point of contact for CEB Community Partner organizations to ensure that CEB resources create the greatest possible impact for each partner

Organize and manage 2013 Community Investment Grant process

Serve as point of contact for incoming requests for engagement with CEB from potential non-profit partners; cultivate relationships with non-profit service organizations for CEB offices worldwide


Bachelor’s degree required

Strong work ethic and willingness to take ownership for wide-ranging responsibilities

Superior project management, organization and prioritization skills

Ability to perform under deadline pressure

Persistence, resourcefulness, drive and ability to work proactively

Strong communication skills, both verbal and written

Excellent interpersonal skills, ability to handle different "customer" personalities, ability to accomplish goals through influence rather than authority

A strong service ethic

Demonstrated interest in the non-profit sector and corporate philanthropy

Strong presentation skills
