As a community specialist, you will be the connection between millions of pinners and the team building Pinterest. Your mission is to make Pinterest even better, whether it be shaping the experience of new pinners, identifying a bug, or providing critical feedback to an engineer before a feature is released.
We’re looking for enthusiastic pinners who display our company’s values:
Put Pinners First: You are willing to roll up your sleeves and get to know pinners by answering their questions. You should find it rewarding to help others; at the same time, you should be able to spot patterns and propose solutions so they don’t need help in the first place.
Knit: You work well with other teams and take advantage of every opportunity to demand what’s best for pinners. You can make an impact with limited resources by prioritizing and making trade-offs. (Actual knitting skills not required - in fact, you can learn them on the job.)
Go: You not only get things done - you also make things better. An entrepreneur at heart, you’re self-driven and proactively pursue opportunities to improve.
Be Authentic: You aren’t afraid to voice your opinions, and you communicate in a way that allows you to to do so successfully and make those around you better.
The community team is the main channel of communication to our users and we deal with a variety of topics of varying importance. Please provide us with a writing sample by answering the following prompt . We look for succinctness, professionalism and fun.
1) Write an email explaining Pinterest to a brand new user.
