Post by Jobing - Requisition Number 14–0071 Post Date 6/4/2014 Title Compensation & Benefits Manager City Lafayette State CO This job exists to: Maintain and enhance the organization's payroll and benefits administration by planning, implementing, and evaluating payroll and benefits policies, programs, and practices. Provide the daily oversight and systemization of the functioning of the team to ensure highly effective and competent payroll and benefits administration. Partner with HR Manager to assure a smooth hand off between HR and Payroll/Benefits and develop a strong partnership between these two teams. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: *Day–to–day responsibility for management of the Payroll & Benefits and Credentialing staff.
A customer–focused, competent, efficient, effective, reliable and high functioning Payroll & Benefits team that effectively partners with managers and staff. *Assists in implementation and annual update of the compensation program, annual salary surveys and development of salary budget; analysis of compensation. *Maintains department records and reports. Participate in administrative staff meetings and attend other meetings.
oResponsible for reporting any potentially non–compliant conduct. oCooperates fully with our Compliance Officer in upholding our Compliance Plan OTHER DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: *Serves as leader and role model for HR department and organization. *Ensures a positive partnership between HR and Payroll & Benefits team and other departments within the organization as well as external customers. *Communicates suggestions and trend observations around human resources and payroll that directly affect organizational finances and strategic plans.
- Oversees HRIS payroll database maintenance, keeping it up to date and accurate. *Oversees the analysis, preparation and input of payroll data. *Oversees benefits administration to include claims resolution, change reporting, approving invoices for payment. *Audits of weekly, per pay period, monthly, quarterly and year–end reports (gross payroll, hours worked, vacation accrual, tax deductions, benefit enrollment, changes, and deductions, etc.) *Partners with the accounting team to assure that information needed to prepare various journal entries, account reconciliations as needed and assure that audit and general ledger support is provided.
- Credentialing and privileging: *Ensures that CFHS credentialing and privileging processes and procedures are in compliance with FTCA and JC guidelines. *Oversees and provides direction to the HR Credentialing Clerk in daily credentialing and privileging duties. *Takes the lead on significant credentialing and privileging issues or changes, whether internally or externally driven. *Assists the Development team with the annual deeming application.
- Maintains a safe work environment: *Implements, reviews, applies and actively enforces the clinic's safety policies. *Supports the safety program by actively looking for opportunities to improve safety practices and evaluate staff for safety practices and ergonomic issues. *Disciplines staff when safety policies are violated. *Compliance: oKnowledgeable of and compliant with all laws and regulations governing area of responsibility.
A.Education / Experience 1.Bachelor's degree is required. Related degrees are preferred. 2.Five (5) years of HRIS, compensation, benefits and/or payroll experience. 3.Two (2) years of management or leadership experience.
4.PHR or SPHR or other relevant certification preferred. B.Knowledge, skills and abilities: 1Establishes/maintains effective relationships with staff at all levels. 2High ethical standards and an appropriate professional demeanor. 3Serves as a resource to Executive Staff, Directors, Providers, Managers and staff.
4Manages stress related to tense employee situations. 5Articulate individual who can relate to people at all levels of an organization and possesses excellent communication and coaching skills. 6Excellent understanding of and respect for the body of knowledge and the laws and regulations related to Payroll and Benefits. 7Ability to build strong partnerships.
