Compensation is a department that is responsible for administering SVB’s compensation philosophy and processes. Responsibilities include maintaining salary structure, participating in market surveys, conducting ad hoc job evaluations based on business needs, presenting annual market review data to Steering Committee members, administering the company’s compensation decision tool, managing incentive design and communications, etc.

Primary Responsibilities:
Participates in the implementation of the compensation decision tool and new initiatives for the new HRIS system (Workday). Assists with annual compensation processes, including payment reconciliation, payroll import file creation and grant processing. Prepares compensation analytics, trend analysis and modeling. Maintains an Access database for internal compensation use. Works on problems of moderate scope where analysis of situations or data requires a review of a variety of factors. Evaluates jobs and researches market matches. Reviews findings with HR business Partner and line management. Prepares detailed analysis and projections for compensation programs. Assists with the annual survey participation.
