Under the general direction of the Director of Compensation, conducts and participates in compensation surveys and performs job evaluations for all AmerisourceBergen positions. Responsible for the administration of the merit increase cycles, ensures all pay rate changes are aligned with the AmerisourceBergen compensation structure, and coordinates the activities for the AmerisourceBergen incentive plans.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities
Participates in salary surveys to obtain current data for job evaluations to ensure the Company's competitiveness in the marketplace; compiles, analyzes and evaluates survey data; maintains compensation survey sources in CompAnalyst.
Evaluates new positions using established evaluation system and determines grade assignment.
Creates new job codes and titles for newly-created positions; maintains title integrity for ABC approved positions.
Works closely with business units to ensure compensation decisions are in alignment with ABC's overall compensation philosophy.
Writes job descriptions for new and existing positions and maintains job descriptions in MetaStorm to ensure updated descriptions by position are accessible to HR associates company-wide.
Assists in the processing of ABC's incentive programs by ensuring that associates are paid accurately and according to a schedule based on a number of performance measures; includes generating and reviewing reports and researching discrepancies.
Reviews and signs off on all pay rate changes in order to ensure and validate consistency.
Coordinates the schedule for the merit increase cycles, generates merit increase worksheets, and validates information containing merit increase recommendations.
Generates summary reports at the end of each merit increase cycle for management review; generates analytics for use by regional, functional, and business unit management to assist with compensation management decisions.
Partners with HR Community and delivers Compensation 101 presentations to Corporate and Business Unit supervisor / management level associates.
Responsible for the on-time and accurate production of the ABC Total Reward Statements (representing the total value of employment).
Responsible for managing the integrity of the overall job data in the HR system in order to ensure associates are classified correctly and report data is accurate.
Works closely with the Payroll department to coordinate compensation-related activities requiring payroll processing support.
Supports all SOX compliance initiatives.
Performs other compensation-related duties as assigned.
Experience and Education Requirements
Requires broad training in fields such as business administration, accountancy, sales, marketing, computer sciences or similar vocations generally obtained through completion of a four year bachelor's degree program; normally requires a minimum of two (2) years experience as a Compensation Analyst. Certified Compensation Professional (CCP) preferred; however, if designation has not been completed, AmerisourceBergen will incur expenses for certification program.
