Position is responsible for supporting the design, administration, and implementation of compensation and Human Resource programs, policies, and procedures. Responsible for assessing and maintaining the organization's desired market position and compensation goals through job analysis/market pricing, survey participation, and salary administration. Councils and trains managers on various issues of compensation. Provides analytical and financial support to HR leader for budget and headcount purposes. Assists in administering compensation programs to attract, reward and retain talent.
•Completes market salary surveys, compiles and analyzes results, and reviews salary ranges for potential changes.
•Maintains updated salary administration guidelines, policies, salary ranges and other compensation tools.
•Advises HR staff and management on compensation decisions, policies, and guidelines.
•Audits jobs for content and prepares job descriptions reflecting job responsibilities, activities, duties and requirements.
•Performs monthly, quarterly and annual budget analysis work for HR department.
•Reviews proposed salary adjustments for conformance to established guidelines, policies and practices.
•Reviews requests for new or revised classifications to determine appropriate salary grade assignment.
•Gathers and analyses data providing relevant information/recommendations to HR/management.
•Formulates recommendations regarding development of company salary structure, FLSA exemptions, job revisions and organizational structures.
•Conducts salary administration and compensation related training.
•Conducts audits and analyses as needed to ensure compliance with governmental regulations.
•Conducts analyses for a broad range of ad hoc compensation projects.
•Reviews existing and proposed statutory requirements governing compensation administration and recommends appropriate courses of action.
•Administers assigned processes and systems in support of department objectives.
•Participates on development teams for compensation and system projects.
•Other duties as assigned.
•Bachelor’s degree required in relevant field
•2-5 years work experience in HR/Compensation or Finance (analytics), with additional experience in Human Resources preferred
•PHR, CCP, or progress towards a certification a plus
•Strong analytical skills, detail oriented and strong proficiency in Excel
•Knowledge of wage and hour laws at both the federal and state level desired
•Good communication, organizational, and project management skills with the ability to juggle projects and meet deadlines
•Ability to be a consultant to all levels of the organization
•Familiarity with HRMS systems and salary surveys
•Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality in all matters related to employee compensation
