Responsible for performing job evaluations, participating in compensation surveys, preparing market analyses, and assisting in the development and implementation of compensation-related infrastructure and administrative processes to support the Firm’s compensation plans and programs.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: The following duties are generally representative of the nature and level of work assigned and are not necessarily all inclusive.
Performs job evaluations to determine FLSA status, and overall job level within the firm.
Participates in compensation surveys and special studies. Utilizes compensation survey and special study results to benchmark and determine appropriate competitive positioning. Makes recommendations for future action as a result of these analyses.
Prepares market analyses and provides interpretation of market data.
Takes lead role in building and maintaining support infrastructure including job families, compensation modeling, reporting and analysis.
Performs regular bonus pool budgeting analysis for Finance. May also share responsibility for the calculation of commission payments.
Acts as a resource for job description development.
Maintains system tracking for payments of guaranteed bonuses, retention commitments, and various other current and future dated compensation.
Assist in development and execution of the year-end compensation process.
Prepares materials as needed for presentations regarding compensation initiatives, and compensation committee meetings.
Assists in the development and administration of equity programs at both the corporate and affiliate levels.
Assists in the analysis of new/revised compensation programs to determine costs/benefits. Prepare proposals and communication materials for Managers and participants.
Pro-actively maintains awareness on legislative updates affecting areas of compensation, including executive compensation, wage and hour regulations, and determines impacts or changes to current practices/programs.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: No supervisory responsibilities

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
Bachelor's Degree (B.A./B.S.) with at least three years of Human Resources experience, focused in the area of compensation.
Solid understanding of spreadsheet software (primarily Excel) and databases (primarily Access).
Excellent interpersonal skills in order to effectively respond, provide guidance and influence Managers, Supervisors and other staff. Primary interactions with HR Business Partners, Finance, Legal and HR staff.
Excellent written and verbal communications skills in order to effectively relay results from analyses and proposals.
Must possess discretion, tact and judgment in order to deal with highly sensitive and confidential information.
•Excellent analytical abilities to grasp and manipulate data and report-writing for compensation purposes.
•Excellent organizational skills.
•Excellent research skills. Ability to independently define problems, collect data, and make recommendations.
•PC literate in Microsoft Suite products.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS: Not required, but CCP designation helpful.
