This position will be responsible for utilizing compensation knowledge to develop, implement, and administer compensation policies and programs. Partners with Human Resources and business team to develop job descriptions and accurately determine appropriate job levels. Participates in salary surveys and analyzes resulting compensation information to determine company's competitive position. Develops recommendations regarding salary structures, FLSA exemptions, and job revisions. Provides guidance and makes recommendations to client groups on compensation actions and issues. Administers annual focal review program and related activities. Assists with special projects and analysis as needed, including base pay, bonus, job family, and process improvement programs. Responsibilities include:
--Act as an internal consultant to the HR team and business leadership regarding hiring, promotion, focal review and related compensation activity
--Evaluate new positions for external competitiveness and internal equity
--Participate in market data surveys and competitive analysis
--Assist with oversight of compensation programs, including annual focal process, salary structures development, and bonus & recognition plans
--Analyze programs to provide insight into effectiveness and assist with strategic decisions
--Partner with HR to develop career paths, job leveling, and titling processes
--Evaluate and recommend process and program improvements
--Works with the HRIS to complete analysis and reporting on various HR metrics and ensure support for compensation-related activities
--Analyzes data for trends and makes recommendations to HR leadership
--BS or equivalent experience, plus 4 to 5 years of experience in compensation administration
--Strong ability to identify problems, conduct analysis and formulate conclusions
--Highly detailed oriented
--Ability to multi-task
--Must have great organizational and project management skills
--Able to plan, organize, prioritize, work independently and meet deadlines
--Strong consultative skills, excellent written and verbal communication capability
--Ability to work effectively with all levels of the organization, develop effective working relationships, build consensus, and act as a team player
--Excellent Excel skills (lookups, complex formulas, pivot tables) and knowledge of HRIS
--Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information.
--Ability to design new programs and lead process improvement projects.
--Ability to balance tactical, day-to-day tasks with strategic projects
--Experience conducting salary surveys, developing salary structures, and administering compensation programs
--Knowledge of job evaluation, base compensation, and incentive plans
--Experience with job leveling and analysis including job/career path development
