          Primary Function

          The Complaint Analyst assists in evaluating complaints received from the field. This task is carried out in a project management mode of problem identification, identification of the root cause of the defect and implementing an effective corrective action. This involves the use of the local investigation writing tools including associated statistical tools.

          Major Duties and Responsibilities:

          1. Coordinate product complaint program.
          2. Initiate investigation and identification of the root cause for defects returned from the field.
          3. Assist in developing an effective corrective action that ensures product quality.
          4. Analyze complaint data to identify unfavorable trends and recommend improvements.
          5. Complete projects related to remediating repetitive complaints.
          6. Participate in training programs for plant Quality and Manufacturing personnel for complex quality systems such as sampling and process control.
          7. Work with Manufacturing and Engineering to drive process improvements and efficiency.
          8. Work with R & D, Marketing and others in product line improvement
          9. Evaluate current complaint trends and procedures and, where necessary, develop improvements or design new systems.

          Skills/Experience Education/Certification

          Skills/Experience/Education: · A Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Science or Mathematics is required.
          · Five years experience in pharmaceutical or allied health industry is required.
          · Incumbent must possess a thorough demonstrated knowledge of problem solving techniques.
          · Incumbent should also have demonstrated management experience including dealing with multiple levels and disciplines of management.
          · ASQ certification is required or attained within the first year in the position.
