Use various research tools including data analysis systems and predetermined analysis criteria. Assist in the preparation of regulatory reporting, analytical reports and statistical summaries. May also work with operational areas to identify and document compliance procedures implemented by management to ensure the achievement of regulatory requirements. Assist in collecting, reviewing and monitoring data from operational areas to ensure compliance with State and Federal laws and regulations.

Principal Responsibilities

Exemplifies the "Ways to AMAZE!" Customer Service Philosophy.

Advises bank management under the direction of the Compliance Manager or Chief Compliance Officer.

Develops draft reports for submission to the Compliance Manager delineating results of compliance reviews.

Supports the Compliance Manager in policy writing and regulatory research.

Prioritizes and organizes tasks as necessary.

Offers suggestions for improving current compliance processes as appropriate.

Works within bank business lines to ensure common understanding of regulatory requirements.

Stays abreast of changes in laws and regulatory guidelines affecting the Bank.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree with a business-related focus preferred.

Equivalent experience may be considered.

Minimum of 1 year experience with a financial institution preferred.

Excellent customer service and ability to communicate and work with others.

Proficient use of current technology and software applications related to the position, such as the Microsoft Office Suite.

Analyze and interpret basic to moderately complex sets of data.

Basic knowledge of regulatory requirements related to financial services at the state and national levels.

Identification of issues that require escalation.

Ability to examine own successes and failures to improve performance.

Physical Requirements

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit, use hands to finger, handle or feel, reach with hands and arms, and talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to stand and walk. The employee may occasionally lift and/or move up to 10 pounds.

WORK ENVIRONMENT: Work is performed in an office setting. Working extended hours may be required as needed. The noise level in the work environment is usually quiet.
