The primary responsibility of the Compliance Data Analyst is to support PG&Es NERC Reliability Standards, CPUC, and FERC Compliance Programs. Tasks include providing technical support for monitoring compliance activities across all lines of businesses, coordinating audits, preparing reports, and developing and maintaining performance metrics. Desired skills include strong analytical expertise, written and verbal proficiency, interpersonal skills, problem solving acuity, and can display the ability to lead and influence others. The competitive candidate will exhibit an interest in and commitment to accurate, timely data collection, analysis, and reporting.
Work location is San Ramon, CA. Occasional travel may be required.
BS or BA degree (technical or engineering preferred)
3 years of experience in technical data management analysis, or research in SAP
5 or more years of experience in data management
Expert in systems including SAP, ECTS, SQL
MS Access and Excel
Working knowledge of NERC/WECC standards
Working knowledge of WECC compliance work flow
Project management experience
Safety: By actions and words, champion safety in the work environment. Complete all required safety and compliance training, and comply with company policies.
Manage Compliance Database. Run queries, reports, and client specified data requests. Verify data quality. Provide support for database users, including user access and roles, training, problem resolution, and maintenance. Department interface with IT support.
Maintain Compliance Requirements: Track and Manage new or revised FERC, NERC or CPUC Standards and Orders. Communicate with affected lines of business and ensure that Company subject matter experts update and maintain required compliance evidence.
Maintain Compliance Share Point Site. Optimize usage of site, archive evidence required for document retention requirements, and manage user access.
Enforcement Tracking. Maintain violation tracking, providing timely updates, reports and metrics. Monitor compliance tasks and provide reports and metrics.
Data: Provide support to NERC Reliability Standards Team Leads, and to other work groups as appropriate to ensure Company obligation to improve system reliability and security is met.
Compliance: Provide support to Manager and others within the work group. Tasks include tracking of audits and reviews, preparation of status reports, monitoring and oversight of mitigation plans, regulatory reports, commitments, and compliance related tasks.
